It’s night now.
Time to set it down.
All that you carried today.
The effort you gave with no applause.
The smile you offered—
even when your own heart was heavy.
The patience it took
to listen to the one who talks too long,
who’s too often overlooked.
The navigating…
of work, of worries, of systems that don’t make sense.
The frustration of one more glitch,
one more responsibility,
one more news story that made your soul sigh.
And still—
you moved through it with grace.
Maybe not perfect, but present.
You held it all, and now,
I want you to hand it to me.
Just for the night.
Let the ethers take it.
Let your mind unclench.
Let your chest soften.
You’ve done enough for today.
Rest is not a reward.
It’s your right.
Close your eyes, love.
Come back to yourself.
Your soul is still intact.
Your light never went out.
You are so deeply loved.
I’ll keep watch.
